Back when the subcompact crossover segment was just beginning to skyrocket, the Hyundai brand introduced us to a little SUV that would become a juggernaut in its own right. Already winning several prestigious awards in its short lifetime since it was first introduced for the 2018 model year, it has quickly become one of the most popular and recognizable vehicles on the Hyundai lineup. Just last year it entered its second generation for the 2024 model year, which means this year the crossover hasn’t undergone too many changes. There were some subtle adjustments though, plus the introduction of a new trim level, so we’re stoked that the 2025 Hyundai Kona is available right here in the greater Chicago, Illinois, area.
As we mentioned, very little has changed for the new model year considering the Kona just entered a new generation last year. One minor enhancement did come to the vehicle though, in that the 64-color ambient lighting feature is now available on the N Line and N Line S trim levels in addition to the Limited trim. On top of that, the N Line S trim level has been added to the list of available options, and what was formerly called SEL w/ Convenience Package is now simply the SEL Convenience trim level.
The N Line S builds on the preexisting N Line trim level by adding race-inspired design cues, though it actually has fewer features hence the smaller price tag. Some of its unique design cues include N Line Black Alcantara Sport combination seats, N Line 19” alloy wheels and N Line interior accents.
With plenty of options available to choose from in the 2025 Hyundai Kona, we wanted to give you a full list of all the available trim levels as well as detail on the pricing of each one. We’ve excluded the Hyundai Kona Electric here as it’s a rather different vehicle from the conventional Kona. Each trim level is available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, though the latter will naturally increase the base MSRP.
Trim Level | Base MSRP* |
SE | $24,350 |
SEL | $25,700 |
SEL Convenience | $27,900 |
N Line S | $29,350 |
N Line | $30,900 |
Limited | $31,900 |
*Base MSRP excludes freight charges, tax, title, and license fees. Freight charges and actual dealer prices may vary.
Now that we’ve given you the rundown on what’s new and the different options from which you have to choose, we wanted to get you even more excited for the incredible 2025 Hyundai Kona by listing some highlighted specs and features that make it such a great option in the subcompact crossover segment.
Of course, this is just a tiny sample of everything that the 2025 Hyundai Kona has to offer, so don’t be afraid to give us a call with any questions that you might have about the new subcompact crossover. We look forward to seeing you in the driver’s seat!
